In developing the Mystic Collection, the journey led Monin to three balsamic botanicals—Vetiver, Labdanum, and Palo Santo—each with a rich history of connecting humans to their spiritual essence. These plants were selected for their ability to offer a subtle, almost mystical sensory experience.

Vetiver: earthy and deep
Vetiver, known for its robust, earthy qualities, comes from the depths of Southern Africa and Southeast Asia. Its rich, woody notes, complemented by hints of pine, provide a solid base for any cocktail, bringing a sense of grounding and tradition.

Labdanum: musky and sweet
Harvested from the rocky terrains of southern Spain, Labdanum exudes a warm, musky aroma with sweet undertones. Historically used for its therapeutic properties and spiritual significance, this resin adds a touch of mystery and history to your beverages.

Palo Santo: woody and serene
Palo Santo, or “Sacred Wood,” is cherished by indigenous cultures of South America for its spiritual benefits. With its strong, woody scent and a spicy, slightly bitter flavour, it’s perfect for crafting cocktails that calm and uplift.

Molecular Distillation
An extremely precise technique that separates and purifies essential oils under high vacuum and minimal heat, preventing degradation and maintaining the integrity of the flavors.

Solvent Extraction
This process involves separating components using a selective solvent, ensuring that only the target substances are extracted, preserving their natural qualities.

CO2 Supercritical Extraction
By heating and compressing CO2 to a supercritical state, we extract aromatic molecules without altering their essence. The resulting liquid is then integrated into our cordials, maintaining the full spectrum of aroma and taste.
